AP(E)L training for Panel Members and Academic Standards Committee – Engineering
The STEM Sector Manager has put together a training session at the request of The Institution of Mechanical Engineers. Aimed at Panel Members and the Academic Standards Committee, this training is to update Accreditation practice.
Specifically, the industrial and academic members attending Accreditation visits are asked to explore how well Work Based Learning (WBL) is integrated and offered within engineering degrees; and whether AP(E)L good practice can be incorporated as part of the universities plans for the future.
The goal is to ensure those in work can gain credit towards their degree, for the learning that happens at work and through work.
