STEM eLearning: Level 4 Construction Health & Safety Module
The development of an eLearning course with the College of North West London (CNWL) has been agreed primarily for adult learners undertaking Health & Safety as part of their course:
- For general career progression as a CPD short course
- Or as part of an undergraduate degree programme.
The course will enable learners at CNWL to access learning material online 24/7, negating the current need to physically attend the College.
The Health & Safety aspects currently cover 2 modules. Both require attendance at College. This new application will enable flexibility for learners. It is particularly useful for those who have experience in this area and have no real need to cover the formal lecture material at College, but still need to show competence via an accredited format. Everyone on a construction site now needs to do this, to achieve on-site Certification.
Without funding, there is significant risk that the entire work and a functional application will be lost to vocational learners and the College, as corporate knowledge departs. The funds are necessary for a review of the material prepared to date; to conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT); and roll-out the online application.
Important information
This module can be used by WL LLN partners to replace or be additive to any Health & Safety module related to construction workers and engineers working on-site.
