Expressions of Interest: Building Self-Confidence in Mathematics, ready for a high-tech world

Expressions of interest are welcome from suitably qualified persons to help develop maths workshops and summer schools.
Our audience are likely to have had poor experiences when learning maths in the past. Well developed empathy skills are therefore required.
The overall aim is to build the individual’s confidence so they can progress their education beyond BTEC, Level 3 or HND.
Workshops will also target adults wishing to enter or return to Higher Education, as well as vocational learners moving forward on to undergraduate Foundation Degrees or Bachelor Degrees in strategically important subject areas of science, engineering and technology.
Courses will need to be carefully designed and we need suitably experienced people to help with this aspect of work.
Courses will be delivered throughout West London and we need people with good teaching skills.
Ultimately the courses need to fill the knowledge gaps of a variety of learners and bring relevance to maths and its application to problem solving.
If you are interested in becoming part of this important work, and have a particular expertise in this area, please contact the Maths Working Group co-ordinator by email or telephone.
