We are investigating provision of intervention programmes and this has led to the formation of a Maths Working Group.
This Group will be headed up by Colin Everest, of West Thames College. Colin is a physicist and will be formally retiring from his management and curriculum role with West Thames College.
We wish Colin well in semi-retirement and could not have wished for better timing, as the work of the Maths Group needs to get underway immediately.
The Group would also like to welcome Dr Rob Mellor, Director of Enterprise at Kingston University’s Faculty of Computing, Information Systems and Mathematics.
Rob has replaced Brian Saxby whose retirement we announced in our previous Newsletter in September 2007.
