CPD Teaching Scheme

West Thames College, in partnership with the West London Lifelong Learning Network, are running a pilot programme of employer involvement in the delivery of BTEC Applied Science teaching modules.
The module ensures students understand the activities of a variety of organisations whose commercial activities involve applications of science.
Individuals from business need to attend a two-hour planning meeting in September 2007 and facilitate six one-hour student seminar meetings at West Thames College up to January 2008.
Or, they can arrange for an appropriate company representative to attend, sharing the role of a teaching experience. IOP members who take part in the scheme would be entitled to record the activity as CPD.
