The signing of a Progression Agreement will formalise entry routes between TVU and Uxbridge so vocational learners will be guaranteed equal consideration on TVU’s Engineering courses.

TVU will provide at least 10 places for students from the 14-19 Advanced Diploma in Engineering from Uxbridge, and ensure they receive parity of esteem and the same conditions throughout the application and entry process as A Level entrants (e.g. at interview).

TVU will also provide individual feedback to all unsuccessful applicants from Uxbridge if requested.

Zafar Khan, Head of Engineering School, Uxbridge College said: “It gives our students peace of mind to know that they have a guaranteed place at university when they complete engineering courses at Uxbridge College.”

Graeme Hall, Executive Director, WL LLN, said: “This Progression Agreement is a clear guide to the guaranteed options available to learners wanting to progress to Higher Education from the HND, BTEC and 14-19 Engineering Diploma at Uxbridge College.

“It provides the framework around which the College and its University partner can build a closer relationship which will result in a more tailored, focussed and comprehensive support structure to ensure more learners progress to, and succeed in, Higher Education.”
