Leap Ahead and West London Lifelong Learning Networks Peer Evaluation Report July 2008

There was a requirement from HEFCE to engage in peer evaluation and both LLNs saw this as an opportunity to share good practice and compare and contrast activities, and for team members to reflect on the effectiveness of their particular activities and the overall strategies adopted by their respective LLN.

The two LLNs were partnered by the LLN National Forum and made initial contact in October 2007 followed by reciprocal meetings by the two Directors in November and December 2007.

A full day meeting of all staff was held in January 2008 when the approach was developed and a timescale for completion agreed.

The evaluation has identified that there are significant differences between the two LLNs but that the two LLNs share some practices, issues and solutions.

Recommendations and next steps have been brought out for the relevant areas.
