Adult Learners' Week

Date:17-23 May 2008
Venue: London
The West London Lifelong Learning Network is sponsoring the London Adult Learners’ Week programme.
Adult Learners’ Week is an annual week-long national campaign delivered each May which seeks to engage and inspire people to pursue adult learning – either to catch up on skills not learnt at school, to learn for or at work, or to learn for fun.
Now in its 17th year, Adult Learners’ Week is a wonderful celebration of the energy and inspiration that adults bring to their learning. It seeks to use the achievements of learners to inspire others to have to go – whether it be learning a new skill, learning for fun, or catching up on learning missed at school.
Adult Learners’ Week is all about celebrating and raising awareness of the fact that we all learn everyday often without realising it. And that taking the next step and going on a course needn’t be like going back to school.
Whether you want to gain new skills or qualifications to get a promotion at work, or want to learn more about a subject you’re interested in, adult learning could be the ideal solution.
There are almost a million courses available in the UK, so there’s bound to be one to suit your needs.
