A culinary arts bridging course is being developed

The aim of this course is to provide a flexible module which develops specific industry and study skills required at NVQ Level 4.

Teaching staff reported cases where some degree level students were failing to progress due to a lack of these skills on entry to HE.

Many of these learners were from priority groups which were traditionally under represented in HE.

Once created, the module will be fully accredited within undergraduate programmes and be suitable for delivery in several formats – summer school, weekend delivery etc.
