The new Certificate in Personal and Professional Development for pre-entry to masters programme (3 modules) is aimed at HR professionals who would like to gain a HRM qualification at undergraduate level.
The (CPPD) in HRM acts as a pre-requisite for direct entry to a full masters degree in HRM.
The Thames Valley University (TVU) qualification is delivered in partnership with Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College, and Uxbridge College.
The West London Lifelong Learning Network has funded part of the curriculum work and helped create innovative eLearning portfolios.
HE and FE curriculum experts have worked together to jointly develop a fast-track and flexible progression route into higher level HRM studies.
The signing of a Progression Agreement will formalise entry routes between partner organisations and specify a range of other options for learners who successfully complete the CPPD programme, to go on to a masters degree (eg HRM, MSc Project Management and other masters programmes).
Modules for CPPD in Human Resource Management will be a preparation for masters studies at TVU and will cover the following:
- Level 4 module: The Skills of Management
- Level 5 module: The Practice of Management
- Level 6 module: The Complexity and Context of Management.
TVU FutureSkills looks forward to promoting the CPPD qualification to businesses across the Thames Valley at locations and times convenient for employers.
