The West London Lifelong Learning Network is pleased to work with Capel Manor College and regional partners to develop a work-based Foundation Degree in Horticulture.
The management and maintenance of London’s green spaces will be a key priority for city planners in the run up to the 2012 games and landscaping of the Thames Gateway.
This will be the UK’s first Foundation Degree of its kind and will specifically target the needs of employers and learners in the capital’s “green economy”.
Presentations have been made to employers from London parks and heritage sites and a further survey of employers will be used to refine our plans.
The course is due to start in 2008 (subject to validation).
