The Evaluation of Student Support Mechanisms Designed to Enhance the Progression of Non-traditional Student Nurses in Higher Education
Using a case study approach, each university will collect, analyse and interpret data regarding all key forms of existing student nurse support from the following perspectives:
- academic support
- pastoral support
- study skills support (including English as a second language, numeracy and literacy)
- practice placement support.

- has the potential to refine evaluation methodology for learning support mechanisms.
- will establish an interface between formal and informal learning support models
- has the potential to influence the strategic development and practice of a wide local and regional network of stakeholders
- has great potential in terms of publications, good practice dissemination (in terms of learning support, partnership working, inter-professional practice) benchmark positioning.
