Foundation Degrees in Voluntary Sector Managing Volunteers, Third (Voluntary) Sector Management
These two ‘niche’ Foundation Degrees will be the first of their kind in London.
The voluntary sector undertakes a considerable range of care services in London and is now embedded in care commissioning.
These Foundation Degrees will help to ‘professionalise’ skills needed by voluntary sector managers.
The Foundation Degrees are supported by Ealing Community and Voluntary Service (the umbrella support organisation for voluntary organisations in the London Borough of Ealing) and Change-Up (the capacity building funding stream for the voluntary and community sectors).
There will be considerable opportunity to develop these Degrees to provide skills for the management of 70,000 volunteers needed for the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.
