Interventions for Alcohol and Drugs

The Substance Use and Misuse Team, Faculty of Health and Human Sciences at Thames Valley University have successfully applied for funds to design, develop and test online learning materials for brief intervention and motivational interviewing treatment interventions for alcohol and drugs.
Each course will include online learning activities as well as two filmed case scenarios.
The courses will be uploaded onto TVU’s Blackboard learning platform and tested using criminal justice workers.
Other stakeholders will include Central NW London Mental Health Trust Substance Misuse Services and SMART Criminal Justice Services.
