Course Overview
This course aims to equip current NHS employees with the skills to be at the forefront of the technological changes currently transforming healthcare. It will enable health service managers and staff at all levels to make effective use of the mass of clinical data made available through computerisation. The course will include a substantial work-based learning element, as students are expected to be in employment in the sector, for example with a Primary Care Trust.

Entry Requirements:
Formal academic qualifi cations are not always required
- A minimum of two years’ relevant work experience is normally required
- The student should preferably be in relevant employment at the time of enrolment
A reference will be sought from the student’s present employer to confi rm that:
- They will be supported by their employer throughout the course; and
- They will have the ability and motivation to succeed on the Foundation Degree.
