Course Overview

The award in Bioscience, run in partnership with London South Bank University, specialises in Applied Biochemistry and combines academic excellence and specialist skills that have direct relevance to employment in science-based industries.

The course will develop the student’s understanding of the principles underpinning modern biochemistry and molecular biology and will also build practical skills and the methodologies used in biochemical investigations.

Progression Route:

Successful graduates are eligible to join London South Bank University in the final year of BSc (Honours) Bioscience. Alternatively, the student could go into employment as a biomedical scientist in a hospital or research laboratory, a microbiologist in a public health laboratory, in biotechnology and the pharmaceutical sectors or analytical science across the biological and chemical industries.
