Course Overview
This Foundation Degree has been designed and developed, in partnership with local community and voluntary sector, to manage the increasing numbers of paid workers in the third (voluntary) sector. This programme will equip managers and potential managers with the relevant and appropriate skills designed to equip people to manage a paid workforce. All assessment will be work-related and TVU are keen to accredit students with prior learning wherever possible.

Level 5
- Negotiated work-based learning 2
- Finance in the third (voluntary) sector 2

- Volunteering for success
- People management
- Planning and policy in the not-for-profit sector.
Students can access individual modules to build up to the Foundation Degree. Each module is validated as a Certificate of Professional and Personal Development (CPPD) and recognised as a separate qualification.
Assessment:
Coursework, examinations, group work and presentations.
Progression Route:
On successful completion, the student can progress to the third year of a Business BA (Hons) Degree. Alternatively, students who exceed targets may apply for the Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies programme.
Entry Requirements:
One GCSE and A Level pass, or a GNVQ Advanced pass or equivalent qualification.
We also welcome applications from mature students with non-standard entry qualifications.
Applications will be assessed on individual merit.
Accredited Prior Learning (APL) and Accredited Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) entry is available. There may be an exemption from some modules due to previous training and work experience.

Study Options: There are 12 modules over two years. Study days: Tuesday
morning and Thursday evening
Fees: £1000 for Year 1. Individual modules £500 each.
