Course Overview:

This programme caters for those who have a general computing background and who wish to gain a degree-level qualifi cation.

The course is designed to provide a broad technical knowledge of systems and software for those intending to follow a career in IT support or computer applications.

It is expected that applicants will normally be employed in computers, or a related field.

The method of assessment varies between subjects but usually involves a balance of practical assignments, coursework and written examinations.

Progression Route:

Having successfully completed the Foundation Degree, the student may wish to progress further to a full BSc (Honours) Degree at Reading University, or elsewhere. Typically this should take another 2 years of part-time study.

A Level, AVCE, BTEC National Certifi cate / Diploma, or an equivalent Level 3 qualification.
