Course Overview
This is for students who would like to work at a senior level in the fi eld of computing and information technology. The student will gain high-level IT computing skills and build on their knowledge and experience through industry-related case-work.
The student will acquire a theoretical understanding and in-depth practical experience of the development, management and support of modern computer systems to support key business functions. By the end of the course, students will be fully competent in the skills and disciplines required to succeed in the world of technology and industry.

- Computer Platforms
- Object-Oriented Programming
- Web Development and Design
- Business Computer Systems
Assessment
Assessment will be through exams and assignments.
Progression Route
Students can progress onto the fi nal year of BA (Hon) Computing at London South Bank University. Alternatively, there are numerous career possibilities open to computing graduates including employment in systems programming, website design and development, networking, systems analysis, IT consultancy, information systems management, database systems and multimedia.
Entry Requirements
Relevant Level 3 qualifi cation including:
- BTEC National Diploma or Certifi cate
- Advanced GNVQ
- AVCE Double Award
- Access Qualifi cation
- 1 A Level or 2 AS Levels

Mature students not meeting these criteria are encouraged to apply and will be considered on the basis of relevant work experience and a successful interview.
