The Pan London LLN Health Collaboration disseminated developments of their Skills for Health HE Demonstrator Site.
This event featured the work of the HE Demonstrator Site as a pathfinder for developing effective working partnerships between employers and education providers.
The site involves 7 ‘sub-sites’ across London and each focuses on a different area of service provision including:
- Mental health
- Long term conditions
- Planned care
- Leadership.
This dissemination event provided education, care service and other stakeholder participants with the opportunity to find out about and discuss the:
- Pan London HE demonstration Site
- Challenges of developing learning programmes to support local workforce development priorities.

Acute Care – Nursing & Midwifery Workforce
King’s College London and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Trust – Innovation in leadership programme. This project aims to provide middle managers in the health service with the opportunity to develop their management competence with particular reference to service development and quality of care

Mental Health – Dual Diagnosis in Secure Offender Environments
This project addresses the competences that staff need to deal with offenders with mental health and substance misuse problems

Long Term Conditions – Expanding Band 4 Roles
This project will develop Band 4 roles and education pathways in long term conditions (stroke, neurological rehabilitation and community based services). The aim is to develop a learning programme using a whole team approach to support career progression routes

Mental Health – Supporting Progression in the Mental Health Sector
South London and Maudsley Hospital Mental Health Trust and LLU+ at London South Bank University. The purpose of the project is to support Bands 1-4 staff in the Mental Health Sector to develop their skills to progress onto further training at Level 3 and Level 4
