The West London Lifelong Learning Network HE in FE Group is hosting two further workshops.

The interactive workshops will provide a forum to debate the issues FE tutors experience when developing different approaches to teaching.

The two workshops are:

  1. Curricula Development in HE
  2. Assessment in HE.

The workshops, developed to a Level 7 standard, will allow you to:

  • Develop teaching and learning skills for HE
  • Examine the issues FE tutors meet when teaching HE students
  • Share good practice of HE in FECs
  • Network with your peers
  • Accumulate CPD hours.

HE in FEC Workshop: Curricula Development in HE

This workshop will explore how curricula are developed in HE and can be constructed into Foundation degrees and different pathways to Award.

This will be explored through debate on the various viewpoints of:

  • Fitness for purpose
  • Practice
  • Award.

How the key stakeholders identify roles within a workforce plan and develop underpinning award pathways to commission will be explored.

The workshop will be delivered by Karen Sheehy, Professional Development Co-oridinator, School of Graduate Studies, Thames Valley University.

The workshops are free of charge.
